About Me
My name is Dee the founder of Alchemy Earth Botanicals, my journey into the world of botanical  and nature practices is deeply rooted in a lifelong love for the natural world. My connection to nature started in the peaceful landscapes of Hampshire. The rivers and woods, filled with the soft colors of bluebells and primroses, were my childhood playground, nurturing within me a strong appreciation for the earth's beauty.
These early experiences shaped me, giving me a solid understanding of nature's delicate balance and its true value. The gentle rustling of leaves, the soothing sound of flowing water, and the vibrant colors of the plants became essential parts of my upbringing.
My love for the natural world grew even more with the company of my beloved German Shepherds. Watching how they interacted with their surroundings gave me a unique view of the interconnectedness of all living things, deepening my respect for the harmony of nature.
It was this deep bond with the earth that led to the creation of Alchemy Earth Botanicals.

Having spent 20 years in the National Health Service (NHS), I’ve really gained a solid grasp of what health and well-being truly mean. This long journey has given me invaluable experience dealing with a wide variety of patients and medical situations. The NHS, with all its complexities, has shown me how physical, psychological, and social factors all play a role in health outcomes. That kind of exposure gives you a unique perspective. You really get to see firsthand the impact that health has on people’s lives. I’ve witnessed a huge variety of health conditions, both the common and the more unusual. The NHS is a real melting pot of experiences, and I’ve learned so much from the patients I’ve worked with. It’s been an honor to be a part of their lives during some of their most challenging moments.

During my time there, I met people from all walks of life, each bringing their own unique challenges and needing personalized care. This has really highlighted for me the importance of empathy, flexibility, and a holistic patient-focused approach in healthcare. Seeing the range of health issues, from sudden illnesses to long-term conditions, has deepened my appreciation for the human body’s strength and fragility.

Having spent a lot of time in the NHS, I’ve been deeply involved in conventional medical practices. But, I’ve also been really interested in alternative methods when it comes to health and well-being. This mix has given me a pretty good understanding of the complex nature of human health, especially when it comes to emotional well-being.

From my own experiences, both professional and personal, I’ve come to realize that emotional health is super important for overall well-being. It often feels like the foundation upon which physical health is built. A lot of illnesses can actually be traced back to emotional stressors, unresolved traumas, or those never-ending feelings of anxiety and depression. So, addressing these emotional factors is crucial if we want to see any real improvements in health. I’m a big believer in exploring different avenues to help people feel their best. That’s why I’ve spent time studying practices like:

  • Biofield Tuning: This method looks at the energy field around the body, aiming to find and fix imbalances using Tuning Forks.

  • Reiki: A Japanese technique that helps reduce stress and promote healing through gentle touch.

  • Sound Healing: Using specific frequencies and vibrations to support both physical and emotional health.

  • Community Herbalism: Utilizing traditional folk preparations and historical uses of herbs for food and medicine.

  • Sensory Nature Connection: Nature-based sensory exploration lets you engage all five senses while connecting with the natural environment

  • Shamanic medicine wheel: The journey of the Medicine Wheel represents an ancient formula for personal transformation.

For me, it’s about a holistic approach to health. It’s about recognizing that we are more than just our physical bodies. We are complex beings with interconnected minds, bodies, and spirits. By exploring these alternative practices, I’ve gained a deeper understanding of the interconnectedness of it all. I’ve learned that healing isn’t just about treating symptoms; it’s about addressing the root causes of imbalance and supporting the body’s natural ability to heal itself. These complementary therapies provide different ways to approach health and wellness,  This combined perspective—mixing the demands of conventional medicine with holistic principles—has given me a unique way to view health and well-being.

I have always had a connection to plants and flowers, I found comfort in their presence during my walks,  studying their delicate petals and reveling in their enchanting fragrances. This appreciation for nature's beauty has always been a source of inspiration for me. Having left the NHS after 20 years service I pursued my passion, I am now a qualified practitioner in the field of Bach Flower Remedies. This role allows me to harness the vibrational essence of these exquisite plants and flowers on a daily basis. Flower essences, in essence, represent the vibrational imprint of a flower's energetic life force, meticulously infused in water.
I often refer to them as "nature in a bottle," as they encapsulate the very essence of the natural world, allowing us to experience the healing power of flowers in a tangible form. It is my privilege to work with these remarkable essences, fostering a deeper connection between individuals and the healing properties of nature.

I also specialize in the creation and production of Auric Sprays, utilizing essential oils derived from concentrated plant extracts. These oils are not only aromatic but also possess profound effects on the human olfactory system, which plays a vital role in our emotional and psychological well-being.

The sense of smell has a direct influence on the brain, providing critical information about the chemical composition of various substances through a process known as transduction. This process significantly impacts our state of being, as specific scents can evoke poignant memories and emotions. For instance, the invigorating aroma of pine can stimulate the release of feel-good endorphins, similar to the uplifting experience of walking through a pine forest.

Our Auric Sprays are designed to harness these effects, offering calming and grounding properties that enhance overall wellness. By incorporating the essence of nature into daily life, we aim to create a sensory experience that promotes relaxation and emotional balance.
